Integration, in the field
Real programmes where microbiology, genomics and environmental chemistry came together to turn samples into decision-grade public-health intelligence.

Wastewater epidemiology for Northern Ireland
BioSeer's founding team helped deliver Northern Ireland's SARS-CoV-2 wastewater surveillance programme for the Department of Health, integrating sampling, RT-qPCR, ammonia normalisation, sequencing and GIS reporting across a 31-site network covering 65% of the population.

Care-home pathogen and AMR surveillance
An integrated environmental surveillance model for live, occupied buildings, combining air sampling, wastewater epidemiology, qPCR, shotgun metagenomics, culturomics and AMR profiling. Norovirus and SARS-CoV-2 were detected up to seven days before symptoms.

Non-invasive farm biosurveillance for livestock health and AMR risk
Delivered with the Veterinary Medicines Directorate and PATH-SAFE partners, this programme explored how air, faecal and saliva sampling can support pathogen and AMR monitoring in livestock housing — combining qPCR, long-read sequencing and microbiome analysis.
Most laboratories specialise. BioSeer integrates.
